Elk Unit 380-20 Hunts

Montana Trophy Outfitters leases prime private land in Montana's premier special draw unit 380-20 elk hunting unit. We offer guided hunts for those lucky enough to draw one of these coveted tags.​

Bulls in units 380 tend to find sanctuary on private ground throughout the archery and rifle season. The unit is now open to cow elk hunters and spike on a general tag and there is a large amount of pressure on the public lands in this unit. The ranches we lease are a safe haven in the rut for the bulls and the archery hunting is exceptional. We also lease private land in some of there sanctuary zones where late season hunts in rifle are very effective as well. We conduct hunts throughout the rifle season as the pressure from the public land pushes bulls to there safety zones on private land.

We are 100 percent on our 380-20 hunts. Our bulls in this hard to draw unit average 320-330 with the occasional 350-360 on the high end. It is a hard to draw unit but a 350 bull is still a hard to find trophy in this unit.  Our favorite times to hunt this unit include peak rut of archery and late season rifle. The property we lease is real productive the rut. It is also great first week rifle and late rifle. We also do well with a good snow storm in this unit pushing the bigger bulls out and down.
