Mule Deer Hunts

Hunting mule deer in the rut in some of Montana's most beautiful country. MTO offers hunting during the mule deer rut on a mixture of public and private ground in Central and Southwest Montana. 

Our 417-50 hunt is our best special draw unit for deer during the rut in the Missouri breaks.

The private ground and the vast amount of breaks allows for places to hide and the deer to grow. The average mule deer taken on these hunts is 140- 160 with the occasional 170-180 inch buck.

We do get an occasional large buck in Southwest Mt and our currently working on increasing the age class on our leases only harvesting 2-3 mule deer a year.
